«This is the new social centrality. The new necessary and saving rationality: the deep feeling of belonging, solidarity, familiarity, hospitality, care and tolerance, all sitting at the same table, enjoying the generosity of nature together.

The Brazilian theologian and environmentalist Leonardo Boff expresses with these words the horizon that guides the actions of the Ecological Promotion Area: promoting care for the environment, ecological reflection when thinking about our individual actions, in society, in groups.

And in groups we work from the Area: visits to schools, colleges and high schools, tours of the Center, recreational-educational, experiential, participatory proposals. See the movement: in the landscape, know the dynamics of the ecosystems that surround us, and be part of the movement, of daily and global change for a sustainable present and future.

YOU CAN PLANT & COOK

The promotion of healthy eating is part of the educational action carried out by the Center. From the seed placed in the ground to the bite we send to our mouth, it is important to know how we produce our food, what natural and artificial processes are involved, what nutrients we incorporate and where we find them depending on the season of the year. This program accompanies the development of agroecological gardens in schools and other community centers, in addition to providing a seasonal recipe book open to local contributions.

With this objective, the campaign aims to stimulate, support and disseminate the initiatives that different organizations in the region may have, related to the care of biodiversity, through the promotion of biodiverse movements: activities generated locally based on the concerns of people and organizations in the area.
